John earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology from the University of Texas at Austin. For the past 34 years, John has worked exclusively in the oil and gas industry. Having
worked for companies such as Headington Oil, Pogo Producing Company and TXO Production Corp. in Houston, Corpus Christi and Dallas, Texas. For the last 5 years, John worked for Callaway Energy,
LLC, as the exploration manager. During his time with Callaway, John oversaw the drilling of 150 wells with a 79.3% success ratio. The core areas of drilling were Texas, Arkansas, Louisiana, and
New Mexico but extended into Wyoming, North Dakota, Mississippi and Alabama.
