David holds a Bachelor of Science in Geological Engineering from the University of Mississippi and a Master of Science degree in Geology from the University of Texas. Between his
undergraduate and graduate education, he worked two years as an engineer for BCM Engineers performing analysis on oil & gas properties. After graduate school, he began employment
at Oryx Energy, which merged with Kerr-McGee one year later. At Kerr-McGee(Oryx), David was a production engineer overseeing water floods in North-Central Texas and gas properties on the
Texas gulf coast. He sat on the A&D, Emergency Response, and Environmental/Safety teams. David left Kerr-McGee in 2003 and established Martineau Petroleum, Inc., operating 200 wells in Texas,
Louisiana, & Mississippi. Active in professional associations, David is a member of SPE, SIPES, IPAA, TIPRO, and The Texas Alliance (Board Member - Retired).
